What

Is

Yoga?

Yoga + Union

The Sanskrit word "Yoga" means "union," and it originated in India over 5,000 years ago. Yoga offers a holistic approach to the body, mind, and spirit, helping to coordinate the breath, mind, and body to encourage internal and external balance. As a result, it promotes feelings of relaxation and ease. This sense of calm is derived from the practice of asanas (postures) and pranayama (breathing).

Yoga can be practiced by everyone, regardless of age, sex, or ability. Unlike some forms of exercise that strain the muscles, Yoga gently rejuvenates the body. By restoring our bodies, Yoga liberates the mind from the many negative feelings caused by the fast pace of modern life. Whatever your objectives may be, there are yoga classes available that can meet them.

Benefits

Yoga can help reverse the ageing process by improving flexibility, massaging the internal organs and glands, sending oxygen to all the body's tissues, and enhancing a state of serenity. Breathing deeply into certain postures affects the nervous and lymphatic systems, helping the cardiovascular system work more efficiently.

It helps relieve tight muscles, increases energy and circulation, improves strength, and promotes radiant skin. Yoga also helps improve the quality of our sleep, releases physical and mental tensions, and ultimately relieves stress.
